Kellene Hendrix

Kellene has been in the Banking and Financial Industry for 35 years. She is an experienced mortgage lending professional with over twenty years of experience as a mortgage loan originator, branch manager, managing partner and owner in the mortgage industry. Kellene started originating mortgages at a local Credit Union, where she also was able to originate: Auto loans, Personal Lines of Credit, HELOC’s, Home Improvement loans, Credit Cards and Personal loans. She also was the liaison between the Credit Union and the Auto Dealerships throughout the state. Kellene is a native of Arizona and graduated from Glendale Community College with an Associate’s Degree in 1988 and a Bachelor of Science from the Arizona State University in 1995.

While attending high school, Kellene began working as a vault teller for a large bank in Arizona, and then transferred into a branch atmosphere as a bank teller when she began attending Arizona State University. Because she enjoyed it so much, she then pursued a career in finance and worked her way up through middle management positions. When an opportunity was presented to better serve people, she took a position with a large Arizona-based Credit Union. Due to her diverse array of previous banking experiences, she has been able to better serve her current customers and their financial needs.
In 2001, after the birth of her daughter, Kellene wanted more freedom with her time and decided to contract her mortgage lending services instead of working directly for the Credit Union. This was a wonderful experience, but the Credit Union product line limited her ability to provide a wide variety of mortgage products. This led her to find an institution with more options to offer her borrowers. Ultimately, she partnered with a builder and started Emerald Lending, LLC in 2003-2010 where she acted as the managing member and owner.

In 2010, her desire to spend more time directly serving her borrowers and time with her family led Kellene to decide to close Emerald Lending and just focus on originating mortgage loans. She prides herself on directly serving and meeting the financial needs of home owners by providing a large variety of quality products with a personal touch. She is not afraid to find new mortgage products that fit creative loan needs and one will often find her with her sleeves rolled up as she packages niche products in order to fulfill her borrower’s complicated needs.

Kellene attends Pure Heart Church where her husband of 30 years serves as an Executive Pastor. She is the Assistant Coach of the Ben Avery Clay Crushers; which is the club that her kids are participating members of. She is actively involved in both of her kid’s lives and enjoys not only attending her son’s school and/or sporting events, but also her daughter’s. She is often serving her borrowers while traveling with her daughter, who competes on Team USA and is working towards the 2024 & 2028 Summer Olympics.

Kellene’s heart is, and has always been, about fulfilling the needs of her borrowers with the best possible loan product. She knows that the loans she arranges will most likely be the largest debt the borrower will incur in their lifetimes, and yet she does what she can to help them get out of debt as fast as possible and build their future. She has never shied away from a challenge, but meets it head-on while searching for a solution. Her extensive experiences in lending have provided her the ability to improve the lives of the people with whom she comes in contact.
